CLI · free
Free CLI today · Cloud in early access
Every commit explains itself.
Chamoji turns the commits your developers already write into release notes, shared team memory and review packets. The CLI is free and open source; Cloud shares it with everyone who never opens git.
Install the free CLI
$ npm install --global @chamoji/cliNode.js 22 or newer. Or run it once with npx @chamoji/cli changelog.
Cloud for teams is in early access. One email when it opens.
How it works · one release, start to finish
Commits in. Context out.
Your team commits as usual. Chamoji sorts the history. The release notes write themselves.
The result
Cloud
Context for everyone who never opens git.
Developers keep writing commits as they do today. Product, support and new teammates get the why.
Hosted release notes
A public changelog page for each project, a plain-language version for customers next to the engineering one, and Slack and email digests. Written from git, not by hand.
Context insurance
Project memory shared across the team. The why behind every change survives handoffs and people leaving, and new hires get an onboarding pack for each workstream.
Review packets in CI
Every pull request gets a packet: what the work is for, what to read first, and which changes need human eyes. The AI points the way; people make the call.
Pricing
Free for developers. Paid for teams.
The CLI never costs anything. Cloud is priced per repository, not per seat, so adding teammates is free.

FAQ
Questions.
Will the CLI stay free?
Yes. The CLI is MIT licensed and does everything a single developer needs. Cloud only adds sharing and hosting for teams.
Do we need to change how we write commits?
No. Chamoji reads emoji commits, Conventional Commits and plain messages like "Fix crash on startup". A short "Why:" line helps, but nothing is required.
Does Cloud read our code?
Cloud works from commit messages and the metadata chamoji keeps in git. Sending diffs is a separate, explicit opt-in, and it's off by default.
What does the AI do, and what does it send?
It sorts commits that rules can't place and flags what reviewers should look at. It never marks a change as breaking or overrides what an author wrote. The CLI's --ai sends at most 300 characters of a commit's subject and body, with emails removed.
When does early access open?
We'll email everyone on the waitlist, once, when the first teams can start. Until then, the free CLI already writes your changelogs.
